| This course will provide an introduction to the interdisciplinary field
of gay and lesbian studies. We will explore three topics: the construction
and representation of homosexuality in history, queer culture before and
after Stonewall, and queer theory. Readings will include works by Martin
Duberman, Lillian Faderman, Oscar Wilde, Radclyffe Hall, Tony Kushner, Sarah
Schulman, Eve Sedgwick, and Michel Foucault. SOC USA |
